Well done, you got here!
C2C Bike Quest
Well it’s all over now, Job Done! What a fantastic experience, hard work, challenging, character building, but most of all what a laugh we had doing it.
Bike Quest started in St Bees in Cumbria on Sunday 23rd April on a cold, wet, beach, it was completely un-inspirational. Then 6days later "the finish" in Robin Hoods Bay in glorious sunshine, on a high with a feeling of achievement. All the memories are good ones!
The ride started with Matt falling off his bike before the start line and finishing with Aidie falling off his while dipping his wheels in the North Sea. We got lost, wet, cold, we sat in bars with just towels wrapped round us, we met crazy farmers, learned about bee keeping, small village "swingers" clubs. It would make a great mini series! A full account will appear here shortly.
The stats are as follows:
Milage: 233.5
Max Speed: 38.9mph
Climbed: 23045 ft
Highest Average Speed: 24.8mph over 10miles
Latest Finish: 21:00
Earliest Finish: 15:30
Latest to Bed: 3:30am
